INKY: Enhanced Email Security Protection

Your Guide to Understanding and Using INKY

Advanced email security that protects you from phishing, business email compromise, and evolving threats—while keeping legitimate emails flowing.

Good News for Mobile Users: INKY banners work seamlessly on mobile devices, and email previews are no longer blocked by warnings—you can see your email content immediately.

Understanding INKY's Warning Banners

INKY adds visual warning banners to emails when threats or informational flags are detected. Banners appear on both internal and external emails and include tags indicating whether the email came from inside or outside your organization.

Yellow Banner: Caution

When it appears: Email has suspicious indicators OR is bulk/promotional content (graymail)

For suspicious indicators:

  1. Read the specific warning explanation
  2. Verify sender through a separate channel if unexpected
  3. Avoid clicking links or downloading attachments until verified
  4. Report if you believe it's phishing
  5. Proceed cautiously only if you're confident it's legitimate

Red Banner: Danger

  2. DO NOT download attachments
  3. DO NOT reply

  5. Delete (or IT will quarantine)

Frequency: Less than 1% of emails

How to Report Suspicious Emails

Never feel embarrassed about reporting a suspicious email—even if it turns out to be legitimate. We'd rather investigate 100 false alarms than miss one real threat.

Option 1: Select either the "Spam" or "Phish" link on the banner

Click the hyperlink text directly in the warning banner. INKY will analyze the report and our team will be notified.

Option 2: Click "Report this Email" on the gray banner

Did a suspicious email slip through? If you receive an email that seems suspicious without any banner, click the "Report This Email" hyperlink to notify our team.
