Answers to common questions about Think Vault.
What is a site Passphrase?
The site Passphrase is a code set during the first user's activation. It serves as a decryption key for the site. If this Passphrase is lost, it cannot be recovered by Think Technologies Group. Keep it in a secure location that management can access.
What is a Site Deluxe Administrator vs. a Site Deluxe User?
A Site Deluxe Administrator has full control over Think Vault configuration, passwords, users, security groups, and audit reports. A Site Deluxe User can only create, edit, and manage passwords they have been given access to.
What is a Security Group?
A Security Group is a collection of users assigned to one or more password folders. It controls who can view, edit, and manage the passwords in those folders.
What is a Password Folder?
A Password Folder organizes and secures a group of passwords. Access is controlled by assigning Security Groups to the folder. If no Security Group is assigned, all users can see the passwords inside.
Can Think Technologies Group employees see my passwords?
By default, no. Think Technologies Group cannot see any passwords created by you or your employees. The only exception is if your company's management has authorized Think to maintain its own user account within your Think Vault organization.
What is My Vault vs. Company Vault?
My Vault is a private section for your personal passwords. Not even Site Administrators can see them. Company Vault holds shared company passwords, organized into folders and controlled by Security Groups.
